Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 9, 2026

Thank you for using EasyBluetooth. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information within our Windows desktop application.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Microsoft Store Purchase & License Information
This application reads the license status of your In-App Purchases (IAP) or Durable Add-ons (e.g., whether you own a premium feature and if it is active) through the Windows / Microsoft Store system authorization APIs. We DO NOT collect your Microsoft account password, credit card information, or full order details on the app side. All sensitive payment-related information is processed directly by the Microsoft Store in accordance with its privacy policy.
1.2 Entitlement Status & Offline Cache
To prevent users who have purchased premium features from being incorrectly downgraded during offline periods or temporary network fluctuations, the app locally caches the latest valid entitlement snapshot (e.g., premium ownership status, update time, and verification status). This cache is used strictly for local feature control and maintaining permissions while offline, and is never used for commercial promotion.
1.3 Application Configuration
The app locally saves your preferences, such as selected themes, low-battery alert thresholds, widget toggles, and auto-start settings, to provide you with a consistent and personalized user experience.
1.4 Local Logs
The app generates local runtime logs as needed (typically located at %LocalAppData%\EasyBluetooth\Logs) to help troubleshoot Bluetooth communication errors, license verification issues, or app crashes. These logs are stored locally on your device only. We do not actively upload them to any backend servers.
1.5 Device & Functional Data (Non-Personal Information, Processed Locally)
The app reads and processes Bluetooth device names, battery levels, and connection statuses locally. This data is used solely for UI display, low-battery alerts, and core functionalities. This data does not leave your device.

2. How We Use Your Information
We collect and process the aforementioned information solely for the following purposes:

To read your Microsoft Store license status to support "Purchase / Restore Purchases / Refresh License" features;

To verify your In-App Purchase (IAP) entitlement status to unlock premium features like advanced themes and desktop widgets;

To trigger notifications (Toasts or sounds) based on your custom low-battery thresholds;

To help locate and troubleshoot issues using local logs, improving Bluetooth scanning and connection stability;

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.

Our Commitment: We will never use any of your information for ad targeting, user profiling, or any commercial marketing unrelated to this application.

3. Information Storage & Protection
3.1 Local Storage
Application configurations and entitlement caches are securely written to Windows local app storage (e.g., LocalSettings / LocalAppData). Local logs may contain timestamps, error codes, and exception stacks (excluding personally identifiable information) solely for troubleshooting purposes.
3.2 Data Transmission & Server Interaction
As a primarily offline local desktop application, we DO NOT maintain proprietary backend servers to collect user privacy data. Any network communication within the app consists mainly of secure interactions with the Microsoft Store via Windows system APIs to verify licenses. This process is governed by Microsoft's strict security and privacy mechanisms.

4. Third-Party Services
Microsoft Store

Purpose: To process In-App Purchases (IAP), verify licenses, and support the "Restore Purchases/Refresh License" function.

Data Processing: Our application only "reads" the license status of purchased items. All actual payment processing, account deductions, and order management are handled independently by the Microsoft Store at the system level.

Privacy Policy: Please refer to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We NEVER sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your information to third parties. Information disclosure may only occur under the following specific circumstances:

When mandatorily required by applicable laws, regulations, or judicial/administrative authorities;

Data interactions related to In-App Purchases and license verification are executed by the Microsoft Store according to its own rules and privacy policy.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion

Feature Settings: You can modify local preferences such as themes, alert thresholds, and widgets within the app at any time.

Purchases & Refunds: You can update your purchase status via the "Refresh License / Restore Purchases" feature in the app. All actions regarding purchases, refunds, or subscription cancellations must be managed through the Microsoft Store billing system.

Local Data Deletion: Because all app data (including configurations and logs) is stored locally, simply "Uninstalling" or "Resetting" the application via Windows System Settings will permanently erase all local caches, configurations, and log data. You can also manually navigate to the log directory to delete these files.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
If there are significant changes to this policy, we will notify you within the app, on our website, or through other reasonable means, and update the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the application constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
